Taoiseach Micheál Martin says legislation that has been published on the Northern Ireland Protocol "would effectively be very damaging to the NI economy".

The outworkings of Brexit continue to “bedevil” politics in Northern Ireland, Taoiseach Micheal Martin has told an audience in Londonderry. Mr Martin was addressing an event organised by the Hume Foundation at the Playhouse theatre in the city.

Speaking to Andrew Marr, Taoiseach (Irish PM) Micheál Martin said it's important to get a good Brexit deal, and that it is still possible, even though the deadline is close.
