Britain will continue trying to recruit the health workers it needs from abroad, but getting back those its lost to the EU is unlikely - as ITV News Europe Editor James Mates reports.

Companies in the ITV Anglia region say new customs controls are causing delays and could lead to problems with supply.

A group of British nationals living in Spain were denied re-entry to the country and forced to return on a flight back to the UK after a dispute over post-Brexit paperwork at the airport.

Unregistered British expatriates living in Spain are close to breaching the 90-day limit on their visa and must leave by March 31 or risk being fined as an illegal immigrant and possibly banned from returning.

The Spanish MEP Esteban Gonzalez Pons has told the European Parliament that Spain will defend its own priorities post-Brexit including the ‘decolonisation of Gibraltar’. This comes as the European Parliament today voted to support Spain's right to veto any agreement between the EU and the UK over Gibraltar.
