UK citizens are losing our European citizenship because of Brexit. Stay European is the campaign for an EU associate membership scheme that would give us the option to continue as EU members as individuals.
Show your Love for the EU Let them know - send a clear message to our friends in the EU that we love them, we miss them and we'll be back soon!
So I write to ask you, respectfully, to take up an initiative your predecessor declined to support in your negotiations on our future relationship with the EU. The initiative is for a form of Associate Citizenship – for those who want it.
"Please do not turn your back on this last chance to stop us turning in on ourselves. Allow us to check whether we want to proceed with this Brexit. Let us decide in a People's Vote."
EU citizens living in the UK can vote in local elections, but not in general elections. Each referendum has its own eligibility rules, which can exclude EU citizens. Yet these votes are making decisions that are very relevant to EU citizens.
