UK citizens are losing our European citizenship because of Brexit. Stay European is the campaign for an EU associate membership scheme that would give us the option to continue as EU members as individuals.

A new campaign which is calling for Remainers to be able to opt in for associate EU citizenship and 'stay European' has reached more than 100,000 signatures.

Guy Verhofstadt’s idea would give continued freedom of movement to those who wanted it.

So I write to ask you, respectfully, to take up an initiative your predecessor declined to support in your negotiations on our future relationship with the EU. The initiative is for a form of Associate Citizenship – for those who want it.
